Frequently asked questions
BeWo overview
-
The number of lines depends on the amount of purchase invoices and expenses you process each month. You can use the pricing calculator above to estimate your monthly usage.
During your 14-day trial, you’ll also be able to see exactly how many lines you need.
-
A line is a single CO2e calculation using our AI. Each time our AI processes your data and calculates CO2e, it counts as one line. For example, a purchase invoice might contain multiple lines, and each will contribute to your monthly usage.
-
We’ll notify you via email when you reach your plan’s line limit. After that, we’ll switch to pay-per-line billing at 1.25x the standard rate per line, ensuring your data processing continues uninterrupted.
If you’re close to your plan’s maximum line limit (set to 3x your subscription’s limit by default), we’ll notify you again. Once this maximum is reached, processing will pause until your next billing cycle.
Contact our sales team for help selecting the right plan.
-
You can add as many ERP integrations as you need, even across different systems if your company uses multiple platforms. Each active integration will contribute to your line usage.
-
A historical year is a full financial year of data. These are typically used for processing data retroactively, such as when establishing a carbon baseline. Historical years are purchased as a one-time package, and lines processed within those years are not counted against your monthly usage.
Using BeWo
-
We calculate CO2e using methodologies from the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard (covering Scope 1, 2, and 3). Our calculations vary depending on the data you provide and the applicable emission factors.
Here are the methods we use:
Supplier-based: CO2e statements directly from suppliers
Product-based: Specific product data (e.g., Environmental Product Declarations)
Activity-based: Based on average activity or product (e.g., kg, kWh, liters)
Spend-based: Average calculation based on monetary value in a given product category or industry
-
We use a variety of public emissions factor databases, covering different methodologies, countries, and industries. If you have specific questions about databases, our Sales team can assist you.
-
We comply with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard (Scopes 1, 2, and 3). This framework also supports compliance with EU CSRD, specifically the ESRS E1 Climate Change reporting.
-
Not at all! Our AI does the hard work for you. The platform makes it easy to create compliant reports for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. While some basic knowledge of these scopes might help, the platform will guide you through the reporting process.
-
Yes, we support Scope 1, 2, and 3. When our AI calculates CO2e, emissions are categorized accordingly. For example, electricity consumption will fall under Scope 2, while office coffee purchases would fall under Scope 3 (Purchased Goods and Services).
-
For the Essential plan, you’ll just need to connect your ERP system.
For Advanced and Enterprise plans, we’ll help establish the connection with the assistance of our partners. If you have an ERP system with a plug-and-play connector, the setup typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
-
Once your ERP connection is established and historical data is loaded, it typically takes between 2 to 10 hours of work within our system to prepare your first report. Loading historical years can take between 8 to 24 hours, depending on the volume of data.
